Courtney Murray Carter

Courtney Murray Carter joins the BCSG board as a new member in 2025. She currently works as an instructor of Sport Management at Campbellsville University.
With a background in sport marketing ethics, student-athlete support, and engaged pedagogy, she is committed to using sport as a platform for ethical leadership, inclusion, and athlete development. Her work emphasizes the importance of experiential learning, coaching excellence, and identity formation in student-athletes.
Courtney's academic and professional career has focused on the intersection of coaching effectiveness, student-athlete identity, and the co-creation of value in advising and teaching.
She has led university initiatives in student retention and academic success, and she has presented nationally on inclusive practices that foster well-being and excellence in athletic and academic environments.
She joins the Blanton Collier Sportsmanship Group mission by advocating for integrity and sportsmanship at all levels of athletic participation. She is particularly passionate about helping future coaches and sport leaders understand the critical role they play in shaping culture, promoting ethical decision-making, and supporting holistic athlete development.
Courtney is married to Eric and have four amazing kids, Lincoln, Eden, Samuel and Hazel!
